Portfolio update

Here are some pieces I recently put up in my portfolio!

Firstly, a good old-fashioned fairytale illustration, such as I like to do when I have time. This one is Rumpelstiltskin.

Secondly, a few images that I did for Vast Studios, for an unpublished project (top) and "Written Legends: Nightmare at Sea" (bottom three), scheduled to be released soon!

Felicia Day and Jack

Remember my portrait of Felicia Day as Penny in Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog? So does Felicia Day! She posted it on her Flickr account, with the comment, "Wow, I wish my hair had this much volume in real life. So pretty, pastel-y!" All celebrities should be this cool!

I also recently finished another piece - Jack and the Beanstalk.

Think of these past few months as more of a... hibernation. Blogs do that, right?

In truth, I stopped posting rather abruptly because I stopped being a bum and started working full time as a 2D digital artist at Vast Studios, a game company here in Toronto. As proof, I present two environments I painted for our most recent release, called Lost Chronicles: Salem.

even more Fan Expo

...after the fact! My last piece of fanart for the convention, from the semi-obscure SNES game Secret of Mana. I painted this entirely for myself, because I thought the primary method of travel in the first half of the game (cannon travel) is ridiculous.

Fan Expo was a great time, and I got to meet some really fun people! I can't wait for next year.
